A textile collage inspired by the Chicago cityscape.
Hand-cut and sewn in our Chicago workshop, the Patchwork Leather Top is a study in sustainable luxury. Remnants of our 100% vegetable-tanned Horween leather are stitched together to create a one-of-a-kind textile collage, reminiscent of the city’s brick architecture. By utilizing every piece of leather, we give new life to remnants and drastically reduce waste. Featuring a raw, jagged hem and an exposed brass zipper for an industrial edge, this piece is fully lined in Japanese Bemberg rayon for a smooth, premium feel.
We source our leather from Horween, Chicago's last remaining tannery (est. 1905)- a unionized shop. The slow, non-toxic vegetable-tanning process uses tree bark extracts to produce hides with rich, variegated tones that improve with age, retaining the natural grain patterns and marks of the animal's life.
