Screen Printed Leather Skirt

Artistic movement: A half-circle silhouette in printed leather.

Hand-cut and sewn in our Chicago workshop, this half-circle skirt is designed to highlight the exceptional "soft-but-heavy" drape of 2.5 oz vegetable-tanned leather. It features an exclusive two-color offset print by artist Paula J. Wilson, hand-screen printed by Nora Renick-Reinhart. The raw, asymmetrical hem mimics the natural organic edges of the hide, ensuring that each piece is a unique sculptural statement.

The leather is sourced from Horween, Chicago's historic, unionized tannery. Using a non-toxic vegetable-tanning process with tree bark extracts, the material retains its natural grain and marks, developing a warm patina over time. Fully lined in 100% Japanese Bemberg rayon, the skirt is finished with a durable brass zipper closure for a secure, tailored fit at the waist.
